Eagle Aviation Technologies, LLC (Newport News, Va) is seeking a qualified Aerospace Composite Painter for leading edge Aerospace Projects. Job Summary: Crucial role in the final assembly process by prepping and applying high-quality finishes to composite materials used. Requires expertise in prepping, paint application techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship.

Salary: Starting at $18+ based on experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Team player.
  • Good Math and Mechanical aptitude.
  • High degree of craftsmanship and good hand skills.
  • Follow operating procedures, engineering instructions, and other recognized methods of instructions.
  • Prepare composite surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling.
  • Choose appropriate primers, paints, and coatings based on the specified requirements.
  • Masking to flow sheet, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Apply primers, paints, and coatings to various aerospace parts.
  • Ensure final product meets high-quality standards and specifications.
  • Manage and monitor the shelf life of materials, i.e. paints.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines established by the company and regulatory bodies.
  • Other activities as directed.

Credentials and Experience

  • Will work on government contracts.
  • HS Degree or equivalent required.
  • Proven 3+ years of experience as a painter in automotive bodywork
  • Proficiency in surface preparation and painting techniques.
  • Must be US citizen.
