Job Summary: Effectively guide the manufacturing department to achieve successful results by means of detailed planning, workload mapping, and orchestrating proper facility & equipment maintenance at all times. Maintain overall staff, facility, and equipment readiness in support of company commitments while ensuring the safe, timely delivery of products in accord with all applicable quality standards.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assume a lead role in management of all manufacturing operations using a collaborative management approach whereby all key leadership members participate in an overall strategy to achieve success.

• Provide leadership and guidance to manufacturing departments to ensure goals are accomplished and customer requirements are met.

• Work in direct consort with the CEO to provide day to day strategic guidance for individual shop managers in the machine shop, prototype/composite shop, and quality assurance department. A collaborative teamwork environment with a unified message is emphasized.

• Map and Plan forward looking resource allocation including personnel, equipment, material, tools, etc.

• Review manufacturing performance to develop new processes and procedures focused on the improvement of existing methods.

• Assess and orchestrate necessary support through training and assisting in the proper procedures and best practices.

• Manage facility to ensure all safety and AS9100 protocols are followed.

• Participate in the interview/hiring process for new manufacturing employees.

• Other activities as may be directed.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• MS Project knowledge is required. High expertise is highly preferred.

• Experience managing manufacturing teams is required

• Personnel Training experience preferred.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Teams is required.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to handle multiple time critical projects simultaneously is required.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Team building and leadership.

• Strong Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings required.


Credentials and Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment required, with a composites manufacturing background highly preferred.

• Preferred college or other structured education associated with engineering or manufacturing management.

• Project Management – planning experience (MS Project) is required.

• AS9100 Quality Assurance experience is preferred.

• Will work on government contracts.

• Must be a US Citizen
